Ka’iwi Shoreline (to Pele’s Chair)

Oahu, HI

On April 8, 2026, we hiked to Kapaliokamoa (AKA Pele’s Chair) on common use trails from a pullout on the main road. The hike started with a visit to tidal pools before winding through some lowland area (with some swampy areas) before coming out at Alan Davis Beach. We crossed the small creek (i.e., a stepover) to climb up on Pele’s Chair for some amazing views. We looped back to the car via other common use trails. This was a fun and secluded (we only saw two other people, both coming from the Makapu’u Point direction) trail.
